What our Customers say…
“Howard, you’re a gentleman. This is very much appreciated and as ever the service is outstanding.”
Hencan Wentworth Ltd, Galleon House, 12 Lion & Lamb Yard, Farnham, Surrey GU9 7LL
This comment followed an Aftercare visit by a Mumford & Wood engineer who attended an issue with a set of Conservation™ Bi-folding doors in a very large new-build project in Wentworth. Replacement hardware solved the problem quickly and efficiently.
“Hi, just to confirm that I have received the latch plate you sent me. It actually arrived yesterday but I wasn’t in when they tried to deliver it, so I picked it up from the Royal Mail delivery office today. I would just like to say a huge ‘Thank You’ for the prompt and efficient manner in which you dealt with my query and sorted out the replacement part for me.
Such excellent customer service, thank you!”
“Just a quick note to thank you and for sorting us out earlier and dealing with the issue in such a professional manner. I’m not sure all other firms in the same situation would have been so helpful. We really appreciate all your efforts and that of your firm in getting our order to the site today which at on stage I didn’t think was going to happen. All that needs to be done now is to get them fitted which I suspect is easier said than done given the size of some of the doors and windows. Thank you once again for all your help which we very much appreciate.”

“The windows are in and look fantastic – thank you very much!”
“I feel I must point out that your driver Charlie was always extremely helpful, cheerful and courteous and a good ambassador for Mumford and Wood under difficult circumstances.”
Tim, B & Company
“I am delighted to inform you that the client is very pleased with the new windows delivered and installed so far. Thank you.”

“The Sea Marsh project is nearing completion on site and the sash windows look great.”
Helen, Thomas Croft Architects. Contractor: RM Smith Builders
“Last week you replaced the (imploded) glazing to one side of a pair of French doors. We are quick to complain about shoddy or non-existent service which, sadly, seems to be the norm these days. So it comes as a surprise, and a delight, to find that Mumford & Wood do not adopt this approach and we would be grateful if you would express our thanks to everybody in your organisation who contributed to getting this job done in such a friendly, painless and efficient manner.

“Following our engineers visiting one of our customers, Jeremy in Devon, to complete an aftersales visit, they received a complimentary email from Jeremy saying “Jason – just a quick note to thank you both for sorting out the frames so efficiently. Much appreciated. I hope the return trip went smoothly. Kind regards Jeremy”
“I must pay tribute to my architects, Daniel Connal Partnership, who took care of every detail of the refurbishment of this 1880 farmhouse and for introducing me to Mumford & Wood,” says homeowner Nick. “The rooms with double glazed windows are very comfortable and they have made a huge impact on our energy consumption in this large property.
“The new double glazed bay window blends perfectly with the single glazed original window in the same room. Together, with partial double glazing and an efficient new log burner, we’re almost too hot,” continues Nick. “We now have all the benefits of 21st century thermal performance and great aesthetics even with windows of different ages. Visitors can’t easily identify old from new.”
“Our beautiful 260 year old, three-storey home on the Kentish coast has been in the family for over 50 years and has been cherished and enjoyed. When left to my wife and I, what we thought to be no more than a six-week ‘makeover’ is, some months later, an on-going project.
“The windows have a large role to play in this house, there are a lot of them, and we have fabulous views,” says the homeowner. “Had the windows been wrong in any way we could easily have spoilt this very handsome building. The transition from old to new had to be totally authentic and being an aged property meant that we relied heavily on the technical advice Mumford & Wood gave us which is clearly where they have great experience. We had long discussions about how the product could be adapted to overcome complex problems with the surrounding brickwork. Mumford & Wood found a way.”

“Hi Ben, our windows are now in place in the house and also in the new side extension. Chris and I wanted to let you know how delighted we are with the end result and the quality and appearance of our new Mumford & Wood windows. Many thanks for all your help and advice.”
Michael and Christine, Hertfordshire
“Mumford & Wood, I’m over the moon with my new windows. They look fantastic!” says Karen who continued to say that her whole experience of buying Mumford & Wood windows was excellent, from visiting the showroom right through to delivery.”
“We are extremely happy with our new windows; they’re beautiful, thank you!”
“Planning and designing these windows and doors was part of the pleasure of shopping locally with Mumford & Wood,” says Sophie. “We visited the Tiptree showroom several times before and during the two year build and we benefited greatly with the technical advice we received. It was invaluable and it helped us to make many design decisions. Site meetings and aftercare were first class, from start to end. In direct comparison to the old bungalow and the new house we can definitely appreciate the improved levels of sound and insulation which are excellent and the windows enhance our views even more.”
“We’ve received many lovely comments about the house since it was completed and many are about the dual colours of the windows in RAL 7038 Agate Grey externally and Mumford & Wood 9003 internally,” says Sophie. “Colour is such a big decision which we agonised over but we are delighted with our choice.”

“We moved in about a year ago and we knew immediately this was the retirement home for us,” says Mr & Mrs S. “We decided almost immediately to remodel the downstairs layout, extend the kitchen and turn the garage into a home office. The lady we purchased from showed us a Mumford & Wood brochure she’d saved for over 10 years from when she first moved in and had all the windows and doors replaced. And Mumford & Wood have matched our leaded light casements and made us a beautiful bi-folding door for the new kitchen. Everything matches perfectly and we’re very pleased with the quality and finish. In fact, Mumford & Wood were so helpful we know lots of their people by first name.”

The Golden Rule of windows in a Georgian property is where mathematics meets architecture and has been used for centuries to help architects come up with pleasing proportions. The Mumford & Wood timber sash windows chosen by a Wiltshire couple embarking on their first self build home chose to fit this design requirement. “They’re also very well balanced and easy to open and close,” says Mrs F, who chose the 17mm glazing bar option for extra elegance.

“Thank you. The windows are looking great; already had people around enquiring about them. Will definitely send them your way.”
“We have finally installed the front windows and they look fab so many thanks indeed. I will be in touch in the new year regarding delivery of phase 2.”
